I am so sorry! I am truely bad at updating regularily and I hope you guys are not as mad about that as I am. I really wish I could do better;) I am working on it though! So for right now here are some pictures taken at a photoshoot with one of my friends!

Impressions of my day

As it has been for a while not all of these picture were taken today, but rather over the last week. Anyways, they are a collection of my favorite things: meeting friends, going out, great food, literature, make-up, and fashion trends:)

Inspirations- thinking inside the box

Have you read "Eat Pray Love"? It is one of my favorite books. I love it for many reasons, but there is one thing that I like especially. It is the "box". In the book Liz Gilbert talkes about how she keeps a box with journals and pictures and stuff about all the countries she wants to visit in her life to which her best friend replies that she used to have a box for baby things before she had her own child. I have one of those boxes, too. I keep my future plans in there as well. I put pieces of writing in there which I hope will be published some day. There are drawings of a future wedding gown and a list of all the designer heels I hope to own one day. Then there are ripped out pages from magazines and photos like the one above about how I wish to live one day. I have put notes in there, too. Little things from friends all over the world that needed a special place to be saved and that will continue to shape my future forever. Well, and just as Liz there are days that I dig out that box and go through all those scraps to I hope will find together as a whole some day. It is those days that you feel unsure and unknowing that you need something to hold on to, a dream and a hope and a little security. That´s what the box does. It shows me my dreams and hopes, not in an abstract, but in pictures and color.
So I would like to know, what do you keep in your box?

Some things never get old, like spending the night in watching movies and the getting songs to said movie stuck in your head, so you find yourself dancing to it all day long the next day;) Well, we all know which movie this is from, right? So, then get off the couch and bring it on girls, party it up!

Well, honestly these do not need further explanation, do they? They are all cute and express what we love most about the famous NYC-Quartett:)
I stumbled across this book when searching for some reading for my trip (I will tell you more about it later) in two weeks at my local library. And even though I am not usually a fan of such kind of books I looked at it and found these pictures so adorable I needed to share some! So here you go, hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Impressions of my day

So yesterday my sister celebrated her birthday. It was a really cute garden party for her and her friends and it was decorated with the cutest flowers and sugar sprinkles:) Later on I went out with some friends to enjoy a festival with some roller coasters, great food and drinks! A very enjoyable weekend so far. Tomorrow holds fireworks in store and I hope to catch some snaps of that to share with you guys. Also, there will be an outfit post which I am really excited about! Go Team!

I am not much into soccer, but I am in for a party nonetheless:) I was excited to go out with my friends to watch the soccer game last night. I actually did not see a lot of the game since the place was crowded like crazy, but still it was fun. What I love most about soccer is something else though. While most countries are very proud of themselves and are not afraid to show that off Germany is not. For whatever reason, this maybe being history, Germans tend to never show any pride in themselves and their country. So it is very refreshing to see people sing the German national anthem and wave the German flag. I think Germans finally deserve to be proud of their country again and to leave history behind. Not forget about anything, of course, but move on! So, yeah I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the black, red, and gold seas.

Summer approaching

I already told you that I hope to get a little tan so I can wear light colors and look good in my swim wear. Well, that is what I tried this weekend, without much success, but with a lot of fun with my friends. I got this card above from a really good friend of mine a while ago stating our goals for the summer: have fun, get tanned,... Alright, I may not have gotten as tanned as the girl on the cover (yet), but I am doing well on the fun part. This actually leads me to an apology: I haven´t done an outfit post ina week, I am sorry! With the hot weather all I really wear are shorts and shirts paired with heels or flipflops, but I will try to catch up on it asap. I hope you guys are doing a better job at getting tanned and are having as much as fun as I do! Have a great start into the week! Love, Frieda

Nailed

Just recently I shared a video from Cartier with you guys, here is another thing I like about their recent moves: the Nail ring! This ring, desigend by Aldo Cipullo, is called "Juste un Clou" (Just a Nail) as just relaunched and is now the hottest piece of jewellery around (you find it on here). It has been hyped by every high-fashion magazine out there and now it is my turn to praise this wonderful ring! I LOVE it, I think it is really cute and this without being too much! But what makes me like it even more is that I already own a similar ring! I know it is not as filigrane and it is not gold, but it is still very close to my heart. I as presented with this ring by a really dear friend of mine and she just told me the cutest story to accompany it.
At the times of the pilgrims crossing the great Plains there was a young lady who had two admirers, to decide which one should become her husband she told them that the one of them who  would first get her a diamond engagement ring should be it. Now there wasn´t any chance to get a real diamind out in the Plains, but one of them got a nail from a close by railroad, as these were called "Road diamonds". He got it shaped into a ring and proposed to her. Stunned by his thoughtfulness and devotion she agreed to marry him.
I think this is one of the cutest stories! I love how I as introduced to this ring by one of my besties long before the relaunch! And what I love most that this is a true sign of LOVE!

So today officially marked the beginning of summer. It was very warm for the first time and I didn´t need the jacket in the picture for most of the day. Just the perfect day for a BBQ with the besties:) But while the anticipation for summer to arrive grew over the last weeks of Rainy Days, summer can be tricky, too. While it is easy to dress cute in summer my skin needs some extra care. I start out the days with suncream, wear hats and glasses and try not to be in the full sun for long. As you can see I am pretty pale so I have to try really hard not to turn into a lobster (even though that´s supposed to be the new trend color). So, as for my make-up I like to keep it simple on days like today, with just some mascara and red lips I kiss the sun hello and I am ready.

I´m a shoe

Nope, I am not really a shoe, it´s a metaphor...

I´ve been rewatching the pilot episodes of some of my favorite TV shows lately and I cracked up over the first episode of Friends! I think it is just hilarious and the video above shows my favorite quote. So maybe that´s what I will do if I have a minute to spare on the weekend: rewatch the first season. For me it is no surprise Friends was so successful. It combines the most important things in a TV show: fun, friendship, love and some fooling around. Just the perfect thing to watch and relanx and have a little fun!
