Nail polish: N9002 from Forever 21
You know what I love to do on sunday night? Snuggle up in a blanket with some chips and tea, watching NCIS and doing my nails. I love wearing a different color every week! Unfortunatly it is really expensive to get your nails done that often, so I rather do it myself. I haven´t perfected my skills yet, but I am working on it. I still think it looks ok, though. Good enough- for I just wanted you to show you this color i chose for this week. I think it is a perfect color for this week. It is sophisticated enough for long days of work and college classes, dark enough for going out at night, sparkly and trendy enough to be worn when going out with the ladys and really easy and fast-drying while putting on, so it would not take forever. In short: I love it!

Pastel colors everywhere
Lastest issue of InStyle/ Arizona Iced tea/ Bow: Forever 21/ Bracelets: Primark/ Cardigan: H&M/ Nail polish (left to right): essence "no more drama", Manhattan "35L", Revlon "85 Minted"/ Hair ties: some giveaway
So I went to pick up the latest copy of InStyle today, my monthly read, and also grapped some iced tea on my way. Later I noticed that the colors of both items matched my cardigan:) It is all about pastel colors now! Since it was really hot today I finally found out why pastel colors are just the perfect thing to wear now that summer is coming closer. My daily dose of pastel freshens me up and feels just like a spoon full of sorbet ice cream, kinda reminds me of that color too, right?
I would love to know, how you style pastel colors in your daily outfits! And also what are your must-reads each month?
Have a fab day, and hopefully you are able to enjoy some sun as well!

So I went out with my girls yesterday and I actually liked my outfit a lot, because it was really comfy and still it is classy and stylish. Also I haven´t been wearing that much make-up in a while, I know you cannot tell from these pictures, but it really was a lot of eye make-up:) It was fun getting dressed up a little, use more eyeliner than usual and just go out and have fun with the ladies!

Feet on the ground
When it comes to live your life in a way that is accomplishing and fullfilling I feel there is an easy rule to follow: reach out for the stars, with your feet steadily on the ground! I like to think that this way everything will fall into place. If you just do your best everyday and reach out for the highest you can, trying to out grow yourself, but also remembering where you came from and how to be yourself I think that´s how you can actually achieve great things in life.

Make the Sparkle wearable
Shirt: / Skirt: Vintage/ Boots: Forever 21/ Neclace & Arrow Ring: Claire´s/ Bag: Zara/ Other Jewellery: Vintage
I love high-fashion and high-fashion blogs, but honestly as inspiring as they are I tend to not know how to apply all those amazing tips to my every day life. Since I live in a small village close to some bigger cities, not NYC, though there aren´t many occasions to wear long robes, full-lenght skirts and really high heels. So the challenge I face everyday is : how to make the Sparkle wearable. So, one thing I do a lot is to wear an outfit most people would wear with high-heels and pair it with some boots and extra jewellery instead. Also, I like to keep to uni colors, colors of one family etc. So as you can see above I choose to wear grey and black as to not over-do the sparkles of the skirt and added some sandy boots and some big shiny accessoires. The bag is one of my favs right now, I liked the idea of an envalope-size bag before, but it felt so clean and sophisticated that I didn´t know how to add it to my wardrobe. Seeing this bag in a shiny silver tone got me immediatly, because it is like a big fat wink, telling you not to take it all to seriously, And, I like that a lot, because I love high-fashion, I really do, but the question that I am facing everyday is to how make it wearable. And the best answer I can come up with is: Do not take it to serious, make it more you, and do not be afraid to add a little sparkle:)

Like a sun beam
Shirt: H&M/ Shorts: Please/ Neclace: Forever 21/ Flower band: Yves Rocher/ Rings: Vintage
When I came home today the light outside was just perfect, so I decided to grap this yellow band throw on my new yellow shirt and go out dancing in the fading sun under a perfectly blue sky. I don´t look my best after a long day, but everything else was just so perfect I couln´t resist taking some shots:)
Hearing that yellow would be the color of the season, I wasn´t too happy at first. Mostly because I did not have a clue how to wear and combine it, but now that I actually own a couple items in the trend color I start to understand why so many designers liked the color- It is an instant feel-better color! Have you tried wearing yellow yet? Well if you haven´t you should, because it actually brightens your day, just like the touch of the first sun beam.

White meets vintage
Shirt: Mossimo Supply/ Top: All Star/ Pants: Tally Weijl/Trench coat: Forever 21/ Neclace: H&M/ Shoes: Dexter/ Bag & Rings: Vintage
Today was a good day. It is just as simple as that. I went out for brunch with some friends, met my sister for lunch and picture taking and went to class later today. So since today was just as simple as good I think my outfit matched it just right.
I am always a little careful when it comes to white pants. They are a risk to be taken, since they get dirty quickly and you might look heavier than you actually are:) Personally, I have a third reason that keeps me from white pants a lot: It seems too clean ... I know that contradicts the point before about getting them dirty, but I actually mean something else. Because I enjoy Vintage clothing and bright colors so much the simple chic of a white pair of pants sometimes is a little overwhelming. To avoid that problem I paired mine with some colorful and vintage accessories and a wide lace shirt. The flat shoes were chosen out of pure comfort for my feet. High heels might look nice on a picture, but are truly the wrong kind of footwear for running around campus:) So, I think that my outfit was just right for today: easy, clean, comfy, with just the right bit of color and vintage to make it more "me"!

I heart Romance
Jacket: Forever 21, Top: Levi´s, Blouse: Rue 21, Pants: Zara, Shoes: Some cheap find, don´t remember the name of the store, Ring: Vintage
The vintage ring shown in the last picture inspired me to this outfit and the pictures. The ring was given to me by my mum, I love the coloring and how its look is romantic though not too much. For me a romantic outfit is all about that- descreet detailing, no overflow.
But what is romance anyway? Is it what we see in those hollywood movies? A guy and a girl, perfectly dressed, on the beach as the sun goes down, everything surrounded by string music...Is that it? Asking my friends what they think romance is the answer that showed up the most was: The simple, small things. So, just like my outfit(?) Maybe it really is about all the small things, but how do you translate that into life? While it is quite easy to find small things accompaninng an outfit, such as a ring, a filigree neclace, glamorous high heels, or delicate lace, what are the high heels and lace of love and romance? So since I took these pictures last weekend I kept my eyes and ears open to find out what these `small things` are. And walking around in the city I noticed that these small things come across almost unnoticable. Often it is about openig doors, a home made cake, a small thoughtful present,... It looks as if thoughts are the key to romance. You may ask if that is not contradictory- romance a thing from the heart unlocked by the key of thoughts? At first sight it might seem like that, but if you take a closer look it all falls into place. When you really care for sombody you think about them a lot, and if you turn that thinking into acting that´s when you create romance. So, in the end it really is about the small things, such as connecting thoughts and heart.
